What we are looking for

We’re looking for a driven Engineer In Training to help shape the future of Public Works (Municipal) in North Texas. You’ll dive into designing, modeling and master planning for public clients, and work to develop technical solutions for challenging public works designs to service our communities, bringing technical know-how, a collaborative spirit, and a knack for building strong relationships.

Responsibilities

 

What you get to do:

  • Independently complete complex design tasks and prepare assigned portions of project documents with accuracy and detail.

  • Develop new specifications, conduct research, and perform investigations to support innovative engineering solutions.

  • Assign tasks to and collaborate with technicians and other technical staff to keep work moving efficiently.

  • Perform and cross-check engineering calculations to ensure precision and reliability.

  • Evaluate project requirements to select appropriate methods, and apply advanced engineering techniques and procedures.

  • Apply working knowledge of governing design codes to ensure compliance and quality in all deliverables.

  • Use industry-standard design tools and technical software to produce clear, high-quality plans and documentation.

Qualifications

What you will bring:

  • EIT Certification 
  • 1+ year of work experience
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. 
  • Microstation and/or AutoCAD and ability to learn new technical software and design tools
  • Knowledge or interest in working Public Works (Municipal) projects
  • ArcGIS (preferred, but not required)
