Engineering Lead, Coastal

• Develop and maintain client relationships for coastal projects.
• Acquire leads and identify new market opportunities.
• Lead proposal preparation and participate in project interviews.
• Grow, develop, and build a team of direct reports, including conducting supervisory activities, staff coaching and development, communication, accountability, and growth planning.
• Act as a mentor for the coastal team by taking an active role in the development of department personnel; provide motivation, support continuous education, and encourage professional registration and accreditation.
• Provide project leadership and oversight of coastal team and assist as necessary to ensure quality, efficient delivery and profitable project performance, and innovative, responsive work.
• Oversee the completion of the billing process, collection of client billings and other project operational and financial matters; hold clients accountable for meeting the terms of their contracts.
• Review project financial statistics and make necessary adjustments to ensure projected financial performance is achieved within expectations.
• Conduct monthly project tracking and workload projections.
• Identify staffing needs and develop project work plans.
• Communicate effectively with field personnel, office staff, and clients.
• Maintain technical competency and stay updated on industry regulations and trends.
• Participate in professional organizations to increase firm visibility and establish a network.

• Proficient with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE)
• Coastal project experience is required.
• Project and team maangement is required.
