What we are looking for

We’re looking for a driven Project Engineer to help shape the future of water infrastructure in North Texas. You’ll dive into designing, modeling and master planning for public and private clients, and work to develop technical solutions for challenging water and wastewater pipeline designs to service our communities, bringing technical know-how, a collaborative spirit, and a knack for building strong relationships.

Responsibilities

What you get to do

  • Assist in managing projects from initial design concepts through execution, including staffing plans, schedules, and budget tracking
  • Manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously while maintaining effective team communication
  • Lead the design of water transmission pipelines, wastewater interceptors, and conveyance systems, including detailed alignments, profiles, and site-specific solutions.
  • Perform detailed hydraulic design, including pipe sizing, pump station design, and hydraulic structures for both pressure and gravity systems.
  • Support utility master planning projects and feasibility studies with technical modeling and analysis
  • Coordinate and oversee the work of engineers, designers, and sub-consultants to deliver quality results on time and within budget
  • Contribute to project design using computer-assisted engineering and design tools
  • Prepare clear, concise technical reports summarizing modeling results and recommendations
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships through meetings, communication, and delivery of high-quality work
  • Participate in business development, including proposal support, marketing, and contract preparation
  • Ensure compliance with quality control standards and support internal QA/QC efforts

Qualifications

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) (or the ability to get one within 6 months)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • A background in mentoring younger engineers or coordinating across disciplines
  • Familiarity with how projects go from planning to completion
