    Responsibilities

    The successful candidate will conduct market and sales analyses which will include analyzing service offerings, market sectors, client opportunities, and the overall efficiency and growth opportunities of the business. In addition, the LAN Business Analyst will develop and monitor metrics and ensure business, sales, and marketing data and reporting needs are met. Strong technology, analytical, and communication skills are must-have traits of the successful candidate.

     

    The job responsibilities include:

    • Market sector and client value evaluation
    • Sales and financial modelling
    • Creating a detailed business analysis that will outline problems, opportunities, and solutions for the business
    • Partner with the Marketing Team to understand the efficacy of marketing spend, particularly proposal marketing efficiency
    • Partner with the Chief Development Officer to understand key sales metrics including conversion rates, sales metrics, as well as developing and advising on sales strategies
    • Analyze current and past sales, marketing, and financial performance delivering insights and recommendations
    • Prepare reports including trends and forecasts. Coordinate with various team members to review sales, marketing, and financial information and forecasts
    • Compute what -ifs, break-evens and ROIs for marketing and sales opportunities
    • Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models, as needed

    The LAN Marketing and Business Analyst is expected to develop new models that underpin sound sales, marketing, and business decisions. The position also requires a strong understanding of reporting requirements as well as experience in market forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis combined with understanding of key performance indicators.

     

    The end goal is to provide financial insights that helps the decision-making process and aligns resource allocation within the business. The LAN Business Analyst should also drive fresh initiatives for financial planning and business intelligence systems.

     

    Qualifications

    • A Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Technology, or similar applicable field; an MBA is considered a plus
    • 5 years’ experience in a similar role
    • Ability to read, analyze and interpret both internal and external documents such as general media/publications, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, policies, proposals, and standard operating procedures
    • Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrated history of the application of concepts such as probability, statistics, modeling, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions
    • Experience imbedded in marketing or sales organization is desirable
    • Familiarity with data query/data management tools including Power BI
    • Independent worker and analytical and critical thinker
    • Ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve problems
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Positive, can-do attitude, collaborative, with strong work ethic
    • Ability to analyze information and to evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution
    • Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
    • Evaluate trends in data or information

    • Demonstrates ability to identify and recommend processes improvements
    • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail
    • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style
    • Demonstrates the ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information.
    • Finds common ground and can gain collaboration among management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) preferred
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
