We are looking for a designer to help continue the growth of our North Texas municipal infrastructure design team. This candidate would be working directly under a Senior Designer with almost 20 years of experience to learn the software and design process of our team while learning, as necessary, the technology of our industry.
In this role, the selected candidate will be instrumental in the design of water and wastewater systems and roadway (geometric, signalization, and drainage) design for various municipalities across North Texas. This will incorporate production of the design of the civil aspects of various infrastructure projects including piping, pump stations, pipelines, site layouts, geometric roadway, stormwater/drainage, and signalization.
We are looking for a candidate familiar with computer systems and preferably design/drafting software. This is an opportunity to join a growing North Texas Infrastructure team in support of exciting and complex pipeline and roadway projects. Project opportunities includes neighborhood streets reconstruction, water and wastewater pipelines up to 108-inches in diameter, and various other municipal design projects.
In this role, you will be working directly with engineers to identify problems, develop solutions, and create construction documents for implementation. As a designer, you would help to directly guide document development, prepare construction plans, and support cost estimate development.
As a full service firm with two offices in North Texas, responsibilities would include coordination with other design disciplines on various projects (including mechanical, electrical, and others) as well as working collaboratively with engineers and/or teams from other offices.
The minimum requirement is a computer science degree or assciates degree/formal training in computer aided design application. Training can be provided for the software utilized in our industry if the foundational knowledge of computer systems and/or design software is in place.
Minimum High School or GED equivelant with preference for completion of an Associates Degree
