    LAN is seeking a Bridge Design EIT to join our Bridge Design Section in our Dallas Office. We are looking for a dynamic candidate with a strong interest in gaining/or building on their bridge design experience to join our team. Candidates selected would assist in a wide variety of tasks for both highway and railway structures/projects; Perform structural analysis, prepare design calculations, develop structural details and quantities. Previous experience with AASHTO, AREMA, TXDOT Bridge Design Software ( e.g.; BGS, PGSUPER, CULV5, etc.), and STAAD/or RISA is preferred. Successful candidate must be capable of working in a team environment and have a history of producing quality work in a timely manner.


    • Perform entry-level professional work including developmental assignments involving the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out routine engineering tasks under direct supervision.
    • Conduct preliminary engineering evaluations and studies to identify design improvement alternatives, compare options, and assist in making design recommendations as it relates to [select as appropriate: water conveyance systems, water pumping stations, wastewater collection systems, wastewater treatment facilities]
    • Assist in the analysis of reports, maps, drawings, aerial photographs, perform site visits, and review survey data to plan and assemble construction documents.
    • Perform plan preparation of portions of routine projects under the direction of project engineer or senior CADD technician.
    • Assist in the preparation of quantity estimates.
    • Prepare construction, topographic and boundary survey layouts.
    • Be responsible for project quality on tasks assigned as defined in the Quality Assurance / Quality Control guidelines.



    • To understand the concepts of structural design
    • To understand surveying and basic engineering terminology
    • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in civil/structural engineering from an accredited four-year college or university is required
    • 0-2 years of experience in the field or a related area
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Successfully passed the FE exam and current EIT
    • 1 year industry experience with preference for above mentioned duties.
    • if less than 1 year industry experience, candidates need to have at least 2 Concrete Design Courses
