    Responsibilities

    This candidate will be involved in the inspection of construction activities for general civil work, including streets, landscape and hardscape, storm sewer including large RCB, sanitary sewers and water lines in urbanized areas in the Houston area, for Municipal, Utilities, TIRZ and Public Works projects ranging in construction value of $1m to $20m.

     

    Duties will include preparation of daily reports; documenting and verifying installed work with contract plans and specifications; coordinating with contractor, construction manager, client representatives, property owners, the public and government agencies; attending progress meetings; reviewing payment applications; monitoring as-built information; and participating in project close-out activities. Candidate must have proven ability to work in a team environment and to professionally conduct himself/herself in the field.

    Qualifications

    • 7 to 10 years of Inspection experience. 
    • Background with Municipal or Public Works projects.
    • Experience with MicroSoft Office applications.
    • Construction Inspector Certification -  attended City of Houston construction inspector course preferred.
    • OSHA training or Certified Public Infrastructure Inspector is a positive.
