Responsibilities

Performs engineering work including the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out routine engineering tasks under supervision.

Assist the Engineer to perform calculations and designs for water and wastewater distribution systems including pump stations, force mains, and water lines. Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E) and Preliminary Engineering Reports (PER). Candidates must have good design skills, show good engineering judgment, and possess strong written & oral communication skills. Candidates must be able to maintain client relations and work in a team environment with Engineers, EIT’s, and Designers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science - Civil Engineering
  • EIT - having passed the state FE exam
  • 0-2 years experience, preferably in water and wastewater area
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Microstation
  • Knowledge of Geographic Information System (GIS) is a plus
  • Knowledge of Bentley ProjectWise is a plus
  • Presentation skills are a plus
